Sanity is not in my vocabulary right now!!!

Okay, so this week has been crazy so far and will prove to be even more so in the coming days. Monday was an interesting day because my friend, Lacey, and I went to a kickboxing class after work. The Summerville YMCA offers classes that you can pay for by the class and not have to join a membership. So Lacey and I went to the class not knowing what to exspect, but we LOVED it! Don't get me wrong it was tiring and our muscles ached a little, but it was fun and invigorating. Tuesday, after work and grocery shopping, I had praise & worship practice for our church group. Then I went home to start working on party favors for Natalie's birthday. Okay......So to fast forward to today....Work has gone by sooo slow and have had a lot to do. Now I have to go to the store and grab all the goodies for the favors and then pick up all the odd things on Saturday morning for the party.
After the party is over and all the cleaning up is done, Brad & I will be taking our parents and grandfather to look at the house that we are thing about buying. This trip is to get an okay on the plumbing and structual soundeness of the house. If all this goes well looks like we will be getting our own house soon. I will post an update of the weekend after all is done and taken care of.

The weekend summed up!

Where to start?...... Yesterday after my post Brad, the kids, & I went to Tanger Outlets to shop (and for Nicolas to watch the planes fly overhead.) We had a lot of fun looking in the stores and was actually able to enjoy a nice day outside. The only bad part about this trip was when I visited Liz Claiborne and it took FOR - EV - ER in the check out line. The only reason I can think that is was slow is because they had a big sale going on, but seriously.....they had three different people working the counter. Okay enough of my ranting.....After Tanger, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to get some grub. The food was really good and it also gave us a chance to sit down and rest from all the walking in the heat.
Once we made it home, the kids were able to get down and play while Brad watched the rest of the Boston Red Sox game (which they WON!) I was able to have a few minutes to myself, but not for long because then the kids wanted to play with me YAY! After this fun filled day it was bed time for Nicolas & Natalie.....then bed time for parents.
This morning we all got up and went to church and then came home. After lunch was done and Natalie was taking a nap, we made cupcakes with Nicolas. The cupcakes turned out smaller than usual for some reason, but they were still very good thanks to Nicolas' help! After we all ate a cupcake, my WONDERFUL husband allowed me to take a nap while he watched the kids. (I love when he gives me these little moments!) Since then we have all just enjoyed a lazy day around the house. All in all this has been a GREAT weekend to me....I just wish that it could last longer.
On a side note.....Birthday party preporation is still under way beacuse Natalie will be 1 on Friday!! OMG!! Where has a year gone?

Just some babbling...

Okay, so it has been a couple of days since I last posted anything but let me tell you why. This work week was the longest and most stressful one, and I thought that it was NEVER going to end. By the end of the day yesterday all I wanted to do was get the kids in bed and then crawl into mine (And that is just what I did)! I was sleeping pretty well UNTIL....... Natalie decides that she is going to wake up at 6:30 this morning! Really the one morning I get to sleep in? Well It wasn't that bad because all she wanted was a bottle and then she went right back to sleep (so did I hahaha). Jumping ahead a little, both Nicolas & Natalie woke up at 8:30 and so we got up and did our Saturday routine......Cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk! Now Nicolas is playing trains while watching a movie in his room, and Natalie is taking a nap. Speaking of Natalie taking a nap.....I might want to end this blog and catch a shower while I can! HAHAHAHA! (All the moms out there will understand what I mean by that). Until next time!

Update on yesterdays story

Let me just start by saying I HAD FUN! First of all, I enjoyed being able to sit down to have lunch
(even if it was Burger King) and not have to worry how much longer I had before I would have to go back to work. Plus the company I was able to eat with was a great addition too. Second, we all left and went to a strawberry farm in Knightsville to pick beautiful and delicious ones. The kids and I were able to pick a basket that holds about 6lbs for $6.80!!! I LOVE strawberries but when they are at a great price like that.....I love them even more.

Just a little side note.... I thank God that Natalie does not have an ear infection. To go back a little so that you understand why I say this... Natalie has been pulling and sticking her finger in her right ear for the last couple of days. I at first I just thought that is was itching and let it go, but when it was starting to be paired with fussiness I worried. So I took her to the doctor this morning just to be safe so that if it was something we could fix it better and faster. When the doctor looked her over, he said that there absolutely nothing wrong. He informed me that when they are cutting some teeth that it can give them a weird sensation in their ear. SO.... We got a clean bill of health for $58, but all is well and good and we all feel better.

Strawberry picking we go...

Okay, so when I get off work for my half day today I am supposed to be going strawberry picking with the kids and close friends of the family. The only thing is that I thought we were supposed to going to the pirate park in Daniel Island today. Unfortunately, my mother informed me that this outing was not until Thursday(a day when I have to work a full day) UGH! Again I do not get to go when they go to the park.....Anyway......I am going to go with a positive attitude and enjoy the time with family and friends because it is not all the time that you can take the afternoon and go pick strawberries. So Later today when I get home I will post an update on the event.

Birthday party preparation

My daughter, Natalie, is going to be turning 1 on May 1st and so the preparation begins for a birthday party. I have chosen the theme of Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. Natalie really seems to like her because she has a lot of energy and is very colorful. I have decided that we are going to do a small cake for Natalie to have and then cupcakes for everyone else. I am going to do the easy thing and order some pizza for everyone to feast on. For all of the girls at the party I am going to TRY to make magic wands like the one in Abby's hand. I am still debating what to make for the boys, but I think it will be wizard hats to go along with the magic theme. Now I am just trying to find all of the other decorative elements of the party. My husband tells me that I should not go so overboard because it is just her 1st birthday (he told me this about our son too....that is a man for you though.) I just want it to be something that everyone will have fun a be able to remember for time to come. Well I will post another blog as it gets closer and then when I have pictures of the event.

So I have given in...

Okay, so I am VERY new to the whole blogging thing. My husband and many of my friends have their own and love it, but I have been hesitant to start my own if fear that no one would really care about what I had to say. After much thought (and my husbands persistent encouraging) I decided that I would try my hand in this new world of blogging. So please be kind while viewing my thoughts and if you have some positive comments feel free to leave them.
