It's been a while...

Okay, okay, okay......So I know that it has bee a while since I have posted a blog. So I will try my best to update you about what has been going on.

Last time I talked about Nicolas going to spend a "Big Boy" week with Brad's parents..... Well he didn't want to come back with us because he was having too much fun, but because we missed him so much and because Brad's parents had to work that next week he did come back. Then on the way home he asked, "Can we be home now...I just want to be home!" And of course Natalie was so grateful to have her bubba back! She gave him a HUGE hug and kiss!

I have been STRESSING about us getting a house! We are trying to get one but the listing agent for the seller is NOT doing her job. If we do not have a ratified contract from the lender(which is the listing agents job) by August 31st then we will have to start all over with looking for a house. UGGHHH!!!

Nicolas' Birthday party is coming up and hopefully we will have everything ready for it. He asked this year for a pirate party, so we said yes because we thought it would be fun! I can't believe that he will be five! He is growing way to fast!

Okay now that I have posted an update.....and now that I have ranted a little bit about one of my frustrations I will step back and leave you to read and leave any comments that you feel you want to. Hope everyone is well and stays safe!

So here is a little update....

So Nicolas has been gone to the upstate( with Brad's parents) since Sunday afternoon.....I MISS HIM! Actually Brad and I miss him - About a month ago Nicolas asked when he could go to his Grammy & Papas by himself. So after much planing and discussing we came up with this week being good for everyone. I was supposed to take him to meet Brad's parents in Columbia, but change of plans when they came here this past weekend and took him home with them when they left. From Sunday afternoon until Tuesday morning we enjoyed how it was a little more quite. As the day wore on and then day turned to night, we realized that we missed him a lot and it was not the same without him. I think Natalie has enjoyed her time with just Brad and I.....and I KNOW that Nicolas has enjoyed his time with Grammy & Papa( because we had to call him to talk to him). So Saturday Brad, Natalie, and I will leave in the morning to go and pick him up and come back on Sunday as a complete family.

It has been a while....

Hello to everyone out there! I know that it has been a while since I have blogged about anything, but I have been busy with normal things. Since the last time though..... there are some updates.

1) The process on the house we are looking at buying seems to still be going well. It has finally made it to the next step in short sale procedures. Hopefully we will be hearing some kind of an update later this week.

2) Natalie had the measles and it scared us to death....But now everyone is over the sickness that was going around, and Natalie does not have the Neasles (as Nicolas called them) anymore.

3) Brad and I were able to have a date night last night and it was WONDERFUL!!! We went to Langdons in Mt. Pleasant and not only was the food great, but the company was even better. The dinner was Brad's birthday present from my parents and the date night was gifted by my mother as well. We have not had one of these in a LONG time and it was VERY much needed.

As for the rest of this week it will be work, kids, & family. Once the weekend gets here I do believe we are going to try and go to the beach as a family again and try to see the new Harry Potter movie. Sorry for taking so long to give a recent blog, and I hope that this shows what has been going on since the last update.

Update...

The verdict: Sinus infection and the start of strep throat! So now I have to take horse pills, but if it makes me feel better then so be it.

I am sick and do not feel good!

Okay, so usually I do not complain to bad when I am sick because I am a mom and I have to roll with the punches. Well after almost two weeks of not feeling well at all and trying to use over the counter meds (which did not work) I am going to the doctor today. When I get off of work for my half a day I will be going straight to the doctors office. Yes I am finally giving in and going to the doctor which I assume will give me pills that I hate taking, but at this point I feel so horrible that I will take whatever medicine they give me. I will update later about the verdict.

BEACH!!

So last weekend Brad, Nicolas, Natalie, & I went to the beach. Brad and I have both been before, but never together......and obviously the kids have never been. So for the first time the four of us packed up and headed out to the ocean.

The main thing that Nicolas wanted to do was to build a sand castle......
So first he had to dig up some dirt to fill up the buckets & then he had to pack it in real good and tight.
Then of course the only thing left to do would be......Flip them over and make a WONDERFUL sand castle. He was so proud of his masterpiece! Nicolas also have a lot of fun with a surprise that Brad & I brought for him....
He was able to fly a Thomas kite, and yes this was his first time flying a kite!

Ms. Natalie ran around and had so much fun doing whatever she could.....even if that meant stealing some of bubba's things...haha!

So as we were getting ready to leave from our full day of first time things I will leave you with this last picture of the day....

NEW BLOG!!!

Thanks to my wonderful husband I know have a new blog template!!! I have been wanting something different, but did not really now how to go about doing it. So while I was browsing some templates today Brad offered to help me out (THANK YOU GOD!) So now my blog looks exactly like I want it to all thanks to my hubby changing things(colors, font, & borders) around and saving them for me. YAY!!!

UPDATE!!

Okay, sorry to all of those who read my previous post which I did not come through on. Once I update you on what has been going on you will understand how the time slips away.

Yes that is right.....VBS is here once again!!!! I (along with two WONDERFUL helpers) am doing the music so that means learning not only the words, but the movements as well. They are not all that complicated this year, but they are still a lot to learn.

Added to all of this we are trying to buy a house and going through all of what comes with that. I will not say any more about that due to the fact I do not want to put bad karma on the progress we have made already.

Last but certainly not least...... I have my almost 5 year old son and 1 year old daughter to keep up with. Believe me they give me a run for my money! I love spending time with them and if I have time, I will over writing a blog on here. So as you see I have been VERY busy, but I will try to keep up better in the future!

BORED!!!

Okay so I am sitting here at work VERY bored!!! This is very unusual that we have a slow period at work, and it would be okay except that it's VERY warm in here. Now with the mix of slowness and warmness Lacey and I are trying not to fall asleep. I wish I could just call it a day and go home to clean and play with my kids. Well anyway... enough of my babbling. Hope your day is better than mine!

Messed up CRAP!!!!!!

In a earlier post I mentioned that if all went well we should be getting a house........Well scratch that idea! If you who read my blog also have Facebook, then you would have seen my status last night. For those of you who don't it said, " I am very disappointed in certain adults that I once thought highly of.....looks like we are house hunting again!!" There was(well really still is I guess) a forclosure within the bank I work for. We showed A LOT of intrest in buying this house. After being led on to believe that we were going to get the house that we were looking at, and doing all the leg work to find out the condition that everything was in, the door was slammed in our face with the word NO!!!!!! We had been looking at this house for almost a month and then LATE Friday afternoon I was asked into the office and told that they would not do the loan for the house. There were several reasons behind their answer, but it was a load of CRAP......a load of stinky CRAP!!!! I hope that they will leave the wagon they were pulling Friday at home come Monday cause I don't want to smell it all day again. Hopefully things will get better though....I believe that God has a purpose for all of this. We are now talking to a real estate agent who is a VERY sweet person and Christian. So now that I am done with my ranting and both of my beautiful babies are in bed....I think I am going to hit the sack myself. Until next time.

BIRTHDAY!!!!

Okay, so I know that it has been a week now and I am just now getting pictures up of Natalie's birthday. There has been A LOT going on since then though and has hindered me from loading the pictures to my computer and then proceeding to blog about them. I will get to the other stuff later, but as for now lets talk BIRTHDAY!!! May 1st Natalie turned 1 and we had her party on Saturday(May2nd)! As I blogged about before we did Abby Caddaby! I did make the magic wands and they turned out very good much to my own surprise. We went simple and easy with pizza, cupcakes, and drinks. The party started outside with beautiful weather, but then quickly started raining so we had to move inside. We were able to get a few pictures while outside and here is one of Natalie...... She was so cute and very alert about all that was going on around her. The outfit that she had on was made by my very creative mother. The shirt a shorts were bought from Wally world and then she painted Abby's face on the front and then the wings are on the back. The other shirt that she wore after she was cleaned up from the mess of cake had Abby painted on it once again by my mother. Speaking of CAKE..... Here are a few pictures of Natalie and her cake mess..... The first picture is the fabulous work Bi-Lo with only one day to come come up with this from scratch!
Now we end with a completely messy and happy Natalie! I hope these pictures put a smile on your face like they did ours!!!!

Sanity is not in my vocabulary right now!!!

Okay, so this week has been crazy so far and will prove to be even more so in the coming days. Monday was an interesting day because my friend, Lacey, and I went to a kickboxing class after work. The Summerville YMCA offers classes that you can pay for by the class and not have to join a membership. So Lacey and I went to the class not knowing what to exspect, but we LOVED it! Don't get me wrong it was tiring and our muscles ached a little, but it was fun and invigorating. Tuesday, after work and grocery shopping, I had praise & worship practice for our church group. Then I went home to start working on party favors for Natalie's birthday. Okay......So to fast forward to today....Work has gone by sooo slow and have had a lot to do. Now I have to go to the store and grab all the goodies for the favors and then pick up all the odd things on Saturday morning for the party.
After the party is over and all the cleaning up is done, Brad & I will be taking our parents and grandfather to look at the house that we are thing about buying. This trip is to get an okay on the plumbing and structual soundeness of the house. If all this goes well looks like we will be getting our own house soon. I will post an update of the weekend after all is done and taken care of.

The weekend summed up!

Where to start?...... Yesterday after my post Brad, the kids, & I went to Tanger Outlets to shop (and for Nicolas to watch the planes fly overhead.) We had a lot of fun looking in the stores and was actually able to enjoy a nice day outside. The only bad part about this trip was when I visited Liz Claiborne and it took FOR - EV - ER in the check out line. The only reason I can think that is was slow is because they had a big sale going on, but seriously.....they had three different people working the counter. Okay enough of my ranting.....After Tanger, we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to get some grub. The food was really good and it also gave us a chance to sit down and rest from all the walking in the heat.
Once we made it home, the kids were able to get down and play while Brad watched the rest of the Boston Red Sox game (which they WON!) I was able to have a few minutes to myself, but not for long because then the kids wanted to play with me YAY! After this fun filled day it was bed time for Nicolas & Natalie.....then bed time for parents.
This morning we all got up and went to church and then came home. After lunch was done and Natalie was taking a nap, we made cupcakes with Nicolas. The cupcakes turned out smaller than usual for some reason, but they were still very good thanks to Nicolas' help! After we all ate a cupcake, my WONDERFUL husband allowed me to take a nap while he watched the kids. (I love when he gives me these little moments!) Since then we have all just enjoyed a lazy day around the house. All in all this has been a GREAT weekend to me....I just wish that it could last longer.
On a side note.....Birthday party preporation is still under way beacuse Natalie will be 1 on Friday!! OMG!! Where has a year gone?

Just some babbling...

Okay, so it has been a couple of days since I last posted anything but let me tell you why. This work week was the longest and most stressful one, and I thought that it was NEVER going to end. By the end of the day yesterday all I wanted to do was get the kids in bed and then crawl into mine (And that is just what I did)! I was sleeping pretty well UNTIL....... Natalie decides that she is going to wake up at 6:30 this morning! Really the one morning I get to sleep in? Well It wasn't that bad because all she wanted was a bottle and then she went right back to sleep (so did I hahaha). Jumping ahead a little, both Nicolas & Natalie woke up at 8:30 and so we got up and did our Saturday routine......Cinnamon rolls and chocolate milk! Now Nicolas is playing trains while watching a movie in his room, and Natalie is taking a nap. Speaking of Natalie taking a nap.....I might want to end this blog and catch a shower while I can! HAHAHAHA! (All the moms out there will understand what I mean by that). Until next time!

Update on yesterdays story

Let me just start by saying I HAD FUN! First of all, I enjoyed being able to sit down to have lunch
(even if it was Burger King) and not have to worry how much longer I had before I would have to go back to work. Plus the company I was able to eat with was a great addition too. Second, we all left and went to a strawberry farm in Knightsville to pick beautiful and delicious ones. The kids and I were able to pick a basket that holds about 6lbs for $6.80!!! I LOVE strawberries but when they are at a great price like that.....I love them even more.

Just a little side note.... I thank God that Natalie does not have an ear infection. To go back a little so that you understand why I say this... Natalie has been pulling and sticking her finger in her right ear for the last couple of days. I at first I just thought that is was itching and let it go, but when it was starting to be paired with fussiness I worried. So I took her to the doctor this morning just to be safe so that if it was something we could fix it better and faster. When the doctor looked her over, he said that there absolutely nothing wrong. He informed me that when they are cutting some teeth that it can give them a weird sensation in their ear. SO.... We got a clean bill of health for $58, but all is well and good and we all feel better.

Strawberry picking we go...

Okay, so when I get off work for my half day today I am supposed to be going strawberry picking with the kids and close friends of the family. The only thing is that I thought we were supposed to going to the pirate park in Daniel Island today. Unfortunately, my mother informed me that this outing was not until Thursday(a day when I have to work a full day) UGH! Again I do not get to go when they go to the park.....Anyway......I am going to go with a positive attitude and enjoy the time with family and friends because it is not all the time that you can take the afternoon and go pick strawberries. So Later today when I get home I will post an update on the event.

Birthday party preparation

My daughter, Natalie, is going to be turning 1 on May 1st and so the preparation begins for a birthday party. I have chosen the theme of Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street. Natalie really seems to like her because she has a lot of energy and is very colorful. I have decided that we are going to do a small cake for Natalie to have and then cupcakes for everyone else. I am going to do the easy thing and order some pizza for everyone to feast on. For all of the girls at the party I am going to TRY to make magic wands like the one in Abby's hand. I am still debating what to make for the boys, but I think it will be wizard hats to go along with the magic theme. Now I am just trying to find all of the other decorative elements of the party. My husband tells me that I should not go so overboard because it is just her 1st birthday (he told me this about our son too....that is a man for you though.) I just want it to be something that everyone will have fun a be able to remember for time to come. Well I will post another blog as it gets closer and then when I have pictures of the event.

So I have given in...

Okay, so I am VERY new to the whole blogging thing. My husband and many of my friends have their own and love it, but I have been hesitant to start my own if fear that no one would really care about what I had to say. After much thought (and my husbands persistent encouraging) I decided that I would try my hand in this new world of blogging. So please be kind while viewing my thoughts and if you have some positive comments feel free to leave them.
